Where I live in Canada, it has been a blizzard for the past 24 hours. Extremely windy, rainy and snowy. I had to venture outside today, and I got bone-chillingly cold. To remedy, I am going to make myself a vegan chai. I adapted a few recipes to get to my preference, I recommend that you do the same to find your perfect chai. It’s pretty easy to get lost in the ingredients on the back of a face mask package. However, a good face mask doesn’t need to be chemical-y or complicated… or come in a package. Here’s a simple recipe that is tried and tested for my mixed skin (oily t-zone, dry cheeks): Ingredients 1 tsp Rose kaolin clay 1 tsp Bentonite clay Yoghurt (replace with water if you don’t have any yoghurt on hand) ¼ tsp Honey (just a touch) Instructions Combine clays in a small bowl. This fall we'll be hosting a DIY soapmaking workshop at Blooms and Flora in Guelph. This beautiful floral boutique is also a beautiful a general store with curated selection of local goods including lots of handmade products. The workshop takes place in their workshop space. They also host a variety of workshops including macrame, floral and terrarium design.
At this workshop, you'll learn the basics of soapmaking. We'll teach you everything that you need to know so that you can recreate the recipe in your own kitchen. You'll come away from the workshop with a customized soap loaf, that you can cut into 4 to 6 pieces.
